1 cup homemade or store-bought low-sodium beef stock

2 cups flour
1 Tbl. + 1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3 Tbl. sugar
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 cup shortening
2/3 cup milk
2 Tbl. butter, melted
1/4 cup sugar
1 Tbl. ground cinnamon
Combine the flour, baking powder, salt, 3 Tbl. sugar, and cream of tartar. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
