Shellie’s Prize Chess Pie

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
1 tablespoon flour
1 tablespoon yellow cornmeal
1/8 teaspoon salt
3 large eggs
1/2 cup melted butter
3 tablespoons light cream
1 and 1/2 teaspoon white vinegar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell

Toss sugars, cornmeal and salt together with a fork. Add eggs, melted butter, cream, vinegar and vanilla. Beat mixture with electric beater until smooth. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Cover edges of crust with arrow strips of foil for fist 25 minutes of baking to prevent over browning. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 45 minutes or until a clean knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
