German Chocolate Upside Down Cake
A simple one-pan cake that begins with a mix.
German Chocolate Upside Down Cake
1 cup flaked coconut
1 cup chopped nuts
1 box German Chocolate cake mix
1/2 cup (1 stick) margarine
1- 8 oz. package cream cheese
1 (1 lb.) box powdered sugarGrease a 9 x 13 pan. Sprinkle the coconut and nuts in bottom of pan.
Prepare cake mix according to the directions on the box. Pour the prepared mix over nuts and coconut.
In another bowl, cream together the butter and cream cheese. Add sugar and mix well. Spoon butter mixture over cake batter and bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
Cool 15 - 20 minutes. Turn upside down on a large plate to serve.
